D., Executive Director The International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis Alizabeth Michel, M.D . studied psychology at Wellesley College at the University of Chicago before graduating from Yale Medical School in 1975. After residency and Board Certification in Family Medicine, she practiced medicine part-time while raising her children. From 1988 to 1992 she studied at the San Diego Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis and subsequently developed and taught a course on anatomy and alignment for its trainees. Bent Out of Shape came into being from that course and her love of writing. A poet and weaver, Elizabeth enjoys living quietly with her husband amidst the beautiful flowers he grows in Encinitas, California.
